Craft Exhibition
A craft exhibition is currently running in St Buryan Methodist Chapel until Friday 22nd June. Open hours are Tuesday 10am to 5pm; Wednesday 10am to 7pm; Thursday 10am to 7pm; Friday from 10am to 4pm. More details to follow.

Pastor from Salem
from Friday 22nd to Wednesday 27th June we will be welcoming Pastor Phil Wyman, from Salem, Massachusetts, to the Benefice. Bishop Chris has given permission for him to preach, during his stay here. More details to follow…..

Church Cleaning
It’s time once again to clean the church at St Buryan on Tuesday 26th June at 2pm. If you can make it that’ll be great, the more the merrier plus it’ll get done a lot quicker! Hope to see you there dusters in hand! Wendy

Licencing Service
Tuesday 26th June, 7pm at St Anta and All Saints, Carbis Bay. A Licensing service with Bishop Chris for new Lay Pastoral Ministers and the re-licensing of Lay Pastoral Ministers and Lay Worship Leaders.

Parish Training Days
Last Parish Training Day this year. Wednesday 27th June, 4.30pm-9pm at Cornwall College, Pool. Register your place on the Diocesan website

20th Ordination Anniversary
On Friday 29th June at 7pm, Vanda and Bob invite you to come along to the Rectory to celebrate Vanda's 20 year anniversary of being ordained deacon. Please let Vanda know if you are intending to come so that we can prepare properly, and if you were able to bring something to share that would be wonderful. Rectory Cream Teas
On Saturday 30th June, from 2pm-4pm, Cream Teas will be served in the Rectory Garden, for St Buryan church funds (if wet will move into church). There is a sign up sheet at the back of the church for helpers and donations.

United Service
On Sunday 1st July, at 10am, St Buryan church welcome our Methodist brothers and sisters to a United Service. The Methodist Bishop Peter will be preaching and Canon Vanda will celebrate the Eucharist.

Greater Chapter Day
Wednesday 11th July, at 7pm in St Paul’s church, Ludgvan with the Very Rev’d Roger Bush, Dean of Truro Cathedral. Talking about ministering and preaching on Remembrance Day, a significant milestone this year.

Celebration of the Sea
Sunday 15th July at 6pm  in St Levan church. An evening of words and music to celebrate the sea and all things nautical. Retiring collection in aid of ‘Turn to Starboard’. Refreshments afterwards.

St Buryan church will be having a fundraising stall at St Buryan Agricultural Rally again this year on Saturday 28th July and Sunday 29th July. Please can we have volunteers to help staff the stall, on both days, and to provide saleable items. Particularly welcome would be home-made and homegrown produce and baking and crafts. Ringing Remembers
Please put Sunday 11th November, the Centenary of the Armistice, in your diary. In addition to the normal half muffled bell ringing in the morning, we need every possible ringer to be available to help ring in every single church at 7.05pm. Lapsed ringers very welcome.  Others taking part may want to use their involvement as a personal tribute to those who left families, homes and sweethearts and died during dreadful conditions during the four years of War. You may not be aware of ALL the activities planned for “Battle’s Over: A Nation’s Tribute” but the 'Guide To Taking Part' is full of  information and can be found at  http://brunopeek.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Battles-Over-Guide.pdf  This link takes you straight to the “Battle’s Over” website, which is lively and interesting. You will then get further information over the coming months.
